Tutoring
The MAC's tutoring program is a peer-facilitated academic support program that features discipline-specific support. MAC tutoring provides students assistance with homework assignments and is available to those who prefer a one-on-one approach not offered in SI sessions. The MAC offers tutoring services free of charge in a variety of subjects. Students can drop in or schedule an appointment with a tutor during his or her scheduled office hours.
Additionally, the MAC offers 24/7 online tutoring for Lyon students. Online tutors are available to assist in all subject areas offered by Lyon. The online platform is very intuitive and easy to use and can be accessed by clicking on the Online Tutoring link found in Schoology for each course in which a student is enrolled. There is no need to register for the service. Students simply click the link and they will go into the online classroom. Online tutoring is a good option for students who are away from campus or for those who need help when a peer tutor is not available.
