Make your adjustment to college easier and breezier by joining us for Sneak Peek Day where you'll meet your roommate, visit your dorm room, and get help connecting to campus WiFi! Along with a campus-wide picnic and yard games, you and your family can find Res-Life approved supplies and furniture from the local vendors who will be on campus. Best of all, these vendors will save you some stress by delivering your items to campus before move-in day!
Registration for this event is full.
When you arrive, please make your way down E. College Avenue and park on the west side of Edwards Commons. You may enter the top level of Edwards Commons when the doors open at 10 a.m.
One of the first stops you'll make is at the Residence Life table. Residence Life staff will help you find your room assignment and show you around your dorm. While touring your room, you’ll have the chance to measure and plan what you want to bring on move-in day.
Skip the lines by registering for parking on Sneak Peek day. Campus Safety will be available to help you. You will need your student ID number, driver's license number, and other basic information about the car you will bring to college, including license plate number, make, model, and color.
Information Services will have handouts available to show you how to connect to campus WiFi. We encourage you to try it while you're here. Feel free to bring as many of your wireless devices as you’d like. Set up is easy, but the lines are shorter at Sneak Peek day.
If you have unfinished business with the Health and Wellness Center, stop by their table to turn in your shot records, etc.
Do you need to talk to the Registrar? They'll be available to accept transcripts and test scores.
Financial Aid representatives will be available to answer questions or to take any additional information you would like to submit.
Walmart, The Home Depot, TJ Maxx, Unique Nosh, First Community Bank, Citizens Bank, Big's, PetSense, and the Chamber of Commerce will be here to welcome you and connect you to services you might need in Batesville. Vendors will be able to sell you pre-approved items for your dorm room, while banks will be able to help you open local accounts. We suggest bringing a method of payment if you choose to purchase items that can be delivered to campus before move-in day. If you plan to open an account with a local bank, be sure to bring your state issued driver's license and social security number.
Around 11 a.m., we’ll have a cookout along with games provided by our outdoors program, Lyon Education and Adventure Program (LEAP).
Lyon is more than just a college. It's a community distinguished by its academic curriculum, unique honor and social systems, and award-winning professors.
