Many students think that a Lyon College education is financially out of reach. However, it is the pleasure of the Financial Aid Staff to award over $4 million in institutional aid to our students to allow them to attend what US News and World Report consistently lauds as "One of America's Best Liberal Arts Colleges."
At Lyon, we believe that athletics plays an important role in building character and integrity, as well as promoting leadership, teamwork and responsibility. Lyon College proudly competes athletically in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division I as part of the American Midwest Conference as the Scots (Men).
In our commitment to supporting the College's mission of offering a liberal arts education of superior quality in a personalized setting, we aspire to be innovative in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting information to inspire creative business solutions, and creating an environment where people are challenged, developed, and proud to work here.
The Award winning faculty: Fourteen members of the Lyon faculty have been selected as Arkansas Professor of the Year. Members of the Lyon faculty are devoted teacher-scholars. They not only provided students with a thorough understanding of the theory and practice of a specific discipline, but also of the interconnections between that discipline and the other fields of study offered by the College. The result is an educational experience of exceptional breadth (interdisciplinary) and depth (major field of study).
Information Services is responsible for all aspects of Academic and Administrative computing, including network maintenance, and local desktop support. IS also oversees communication in the form of mail and telephony on the Lyon College campus.

In support of the mission of Lyon College, the Mabee-Simpson Library provides superior quality resources and services that foster learning, working, and professional development. While many of these resources are accessible through the campus network, many are also available in a comfortable physical facility that encourages freedom of inquiry, social exchanges, and the pursuit of personal growth. Library services will enrich the intellectual and cultural environment of the College, while promoting and supporting lifelong learning among students, faculty, and staff.
The Student Life Staff assist students in their efforts to achieve the following intended learning outcomes—communication skills, intellectual openness, personal self-discovery, leadership, civic engagement, and life-long learning skills.
