Dr. Mark Wallace, associate professor of history, has signed a contract with Bucknell University Press to publish a co-edited volume of essays exploring Scottish clubs and societies within the framework of Peter Clark, the author of British Clubs and Societies 1580–1800.
According to Wallace, the volume will offer a broader approach while recognizing the uniqueness of Scottish developments.
In other news, Wallace recently completed his Eagle Scout project, where he collected photos of former pastors at Union Hill Baptist Church in Brookneal, Va. The church started in approximately 1826.
"Out of (now) 29 pastors I have pictures of 27," he said. "After almost 30 years, I have finished this project, and have added to the history of a church with many pastors and a long history."
