After a day full of food and fun, guests can capitalize on their Arkansas Scottish Festival experience with a feast and a party--the Ceilidh!
A festival staple, the Ceilidh starts Saturday night at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour followed by a Scottish feast, and then dancing and music!
So far, the evening’s menu includes Scotch Eggs, rumblethumps, ale-braised steak pie, and many more delicacies.
“Ceilidh literally means, ‘party,’” said Lyon College piper Kenton Adler.
“It's a time after a long day of festival activities where we all get together and just wind down a bit over some good food, good libation and good fellowship. There is entertainment as well, and maybe a little bit of kicking up of the heels.”
The party begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, in Edwards Commons on the Lyon College campus, located at 2300 Highland Drive, Batesville, Ark., 72051. Tickets to the Ceilidh are $65 and can be purchased on arscottishfest.com. For more information, contact the Lyon College Office of Institutional Advancement at 870-307-7208.
Lyon is more than just a college. It's a community distinguished by its academic curriculum, unique honor and social systems, and award-winning professors.
