The Department of Political Science will host a lecture by Skip Rutherford at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, in the Bevens Music Room of Brown Chapel.
The lecture, titled “Why a Non Traditional Presidential Election Will Likely End Up Very Traditional,” is free and open to the public.
A Batesville native and Lyon College trustee, Rutherford is dean of the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, the nation’s first school to offer a Master of Public Service degree. This fall, he is teaching a live-streamed seminar titled “Trump v. Clinton: Follow the Numbers.”
Rutherford is also on the board of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital System and the Foundation for the Mid-South. For several years, he served as a visiting professor at Lyon.
Lyon is more than just a college. It's a community distinguished by its academic curriculum, unique honor and social systems, and award-winning professors.
