Paul-Henri Gurian to present lecture on presidential election

The Department of Political Science will host a lecture by Paul-Henri Gurian, Ph.D., at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, in Nucor Auditorium.

The lecture, titled “Perspectives on the 2016 Presidential Election,” will center on the current presidential race in the United States.

One of the nation's top experts on campaigns and elections in American politics, Gurian is an emeritus scholar at the University of Georgia. His latest publication, "National Party Division and Divisive State Primaries in US Presidential Elections, 1948-2012," received national attention during the 2016 primary election. 

The event, sponsored by the Department of Political Science, is free and open to the public.
