Lyon students will be holding events all week to get ready for ScotsFest on Oct. 8. This year's theme will be Blast from the Past.

Wednesday, Oct. 6, will be Retro Wednesday. Students are encouraged to wear clothes from past decades all day, and they will vote on the best outfits at dinner in Edwards Commons.

The Student Government Association will host a Movie Night on Thursday, Oct. 7, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the Grassy Knoll. The featured film will be “Space Jam” to keep with this year’s retro theme.

On Friday, Oct. 8, Homecoming t-shirts will be distributed at dinner in the tent on the Grassy Knoll. The Homecoming Court will be announced at this time.

To get ready for the football game on Saturday, Oct. 9, there will be a Homecoming Pep Rally at 1:30 p.m. at Tailgate Alley. The football game begins at 3 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium, and the Homecoming Court will take the field during halftime. The Student Activities Council (SAC) will host the “Blast from the Past” party at 10 p.m. in the Temp to celebrate after the game.

A Sundae (Ice Cream) Social will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, in the Lyon Den to give students one last ScotsFest treat before they head back to class on Monday.
