Lyon students to channel Broadway with vocal jazz night

Lyon College will host its A Night on Broadway vocal jazz night at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in the Bevens Music Room.

Under the direction of Michael Oriatti, assistant professor of music, Lyon students and guest musicians will come together to perform an assortment of musical tunes.

The program will include a variety of Broadway favorites, including “Burn” from "Hamilton" as well as selections from "Chicago," "Cabaret," "My Fair Lady," "Rent," "Phantom of the Opera" and many more.

The program will also include original compositions by Benjamin Elton, '18, on piano and Kenneth Wilson, '17, on guitar.

Special guest musicians include Nathan Carman on alto saxophone, Dayton Edwards on percussion, Jon Healy on bass and Tom Massey on piano.

Admission is $12 at the door. The concert is open to the public.
