Lyon College held its annual Outdoor and ACT Prep Camp on June 5-8.
Over 150 rising juniors and seniors received specialized ACT instruction from Stephen Leake, president of College Prep Coach, to prepare them for the next step in their academic journey. Leake is a graduate of Amherst College and the American University School of Law and has trained students for the ACT and SAT for over 20 years. In previous years, Leake's students have averaged an ACT composite score improvement of 3 points, with some students increasing their score by 5 to 7 points.
Students also participated in a range of outdoor activities including bouldering, slack-lining, disc golf, kayak polo, ultimate frisbee, volley ball, slip 'n' sliding, swimming and various ropes courses featured in the Highland Adventure Challenge Course.
Lyon is more than just a college. It's a community distinguished by its academic curriculum, unique honor and social systems, and award-winning professors.
