Lyon College will host its It Takes Two recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 in the Bevens Music Room.
Under the direction of Michael Oriatti, assistant professor of music, music students, Lyon faculty and guest musicians will come together to perform a wide range of instrumental and vocal duets.
The program will include traditional piano arrangements, including Anton Diabelli’s “Waltz” and Edward Elgar’s “Pomp and Circumstance,” arranged by Virginia Speiden Carper, as well as classical vocal performance pieces, including Giacomo Rossini’s “Duetto buffo dei due gatti” and Louis Lambillotte’s “Ave Maria.”
The program will also include an assortment of Broadway favorites, including Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s “All I Ask of You” from "The Phantom of the Opera," Jerome Kern’s “Make Believe” from "Show Boat" and Jonathan Larson’s “Tango Maureen” from "Rent."
The concert is free and open to the public.
