Lyon College recognized for graduating students with low debt

Lyon College ranks 163rd out of 1,300 colleges and universities nationally for graduating students with low student debt according to a recent report published by LendEDU.com.

The report, which analyzed data provided by Peterson Financial Aid’s annual survey of over 1,300 colleges and universities, ranks schools and states by the amount of debt per student borrower.

Lyon ranks 163rd out of 1,300 colleges and universities nationally for the lowest student loan debt per borrower according to LendEDU. Among private 4-year colleges and universities, Lyon ranks 81st nationally. Lyon also ranks 3rd among all Arkansas colleges and universities and 2nd among private Arkansas colleges and universities.

The report shows that undergraduate Lyon students carry a low amount of student debt ($22,321 average) at graduation compared to other colleges and universities. It also shows that nearly 30 percent of Lyon students graduate with zero student debt.

In 2014, U.S. News and World Report ranked Lyon among the top 26 national liberal arts colleges whose students owe the least amount of money upon graduation. Lyon strives to provide students with a high quality, liberal arts education at an affordable price.
