Lyon College was recently recognized in Washington Monthly’s 2016 College Rankings as a best value college for students seeking an undergraduate degree.
Lyon College was one of the top-ranking colleges in Arkansas within the "Best Bang for the Buck" Southern schools category, ranking 18th overall among 100 colleges and universities.
Washington Monthly ranked colleges and universities on their predicted and actual graduation rates, percentage of low-income students who receive financial aid, predicted loan repayment rate and net price of attendance.
For the first time, Washington Monthly also included newly available data from the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard, which examines the percentage of first-generation students enrolled at a particular college, the median earnings of students 10 years after entering college and how likely students are to pay down the principal on their loans.
In a related ranking, Lyon placed 68th in Washington Monthly’s list of best liberal arts colleges in the nation.
Earlier this year, LendEDU.com ranked Lyon 163rd out of 1,300 colleges and universities nationally for graduating students with low student debt and 3rd among Arkansas colleges and universities. Lyon strives to provide students with a high-quality liberal arts education at an affordable price.
Lyon is more than just a college. It's a community distinguished by its academic curriculum, unique honor and social systems, and award-winning professors.
