Lyon Chaplain’s Office will host Holy Disunity Convocation on Feb. 19

The Chaplain’s Office will host the Holy Disunity Convocation at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the Maxfield Room of Edwards Commons.

This event will explore how political divisions arise and ways to live together inside and outside the church. Pastors Angela Denker, author of “Red State Christians: Understanding the Voters Who Elected Donald Trump,” and Layton Williams, author of “Holy Disunity: How What Separates Us Can Save Us,” will discuss the hype of the 2020 presidential election, the current political divides, healing conversations, and holy disunity.

Discussion questions include such things as whether it is truly possible to live in community with those whose political views differ from your own and can we heal as a nation from all the tension and strife? What might that healing look like?

Be part of the conversation. The event is free and open to all. For more information, contact Rev. Margaret Alsup at margaret.alsup@lyon.edu or (870) 307-7474.
