The U.S. Department of State has selected Lyon alumna Caitlin Campbell as one of 50 Foreign Affairs Campus Coordinators in the country.
The daughter of Batesville High School Principal David Campbell, Caitlin Campbell graduated summa cum laude from the College in 2015. At Lyon, she served as a resident director, a member of Alpha Xi Delta, and president of her class. She majored in political science.
Campbell is now pursuing concurrent degrees in law at the Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law and public service at the Clinton School of Public Service. Over the summer she interned at the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor in Washington, D.C.
As a Foreign Affairs Campus Coordinator, she will strive to educate college students about the importance of international affairs through social media and events like workshops, campus visits, and conferences.
In an article for the Clinton School of Public Service, Campbell says, “I’m most looking forward to meeting other young people in Arkansas who are interested in foreign affairs and being able to share my experiences and encourage them to pursue opportunities to serve with the Department of State.”
Lyon is more than just a college. It's a community distinguished by its academic curriculum, unique honor and social systems, and award-winning professors.
