As healthcare workers strive to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, a Lyon alumna is doing what she can to make their jobs easier.
Natalie Milligan, ’19, and her classmates at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) have organized a Medical Supply Drive to collect donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) and related materials.
The following items are being accepted: surgical masks, N95 masks, face shields, bandanas, non-latex gloves, medical and surgical gowns, plastic rain ponchos, bleach and bleach wipes, hand sanitizer and Tyvek and hazmat suits.
Milligan has been keeping in touch with her classmate Moira Moore, who is on the fundraiser committee, to receive updates.
“So far, supplies have been delivered to 11 hospitals and clinics,” Milligan said, “and deliveries to seven more are in the works.”
To donate, contact email@example.com, Moira Moore at firstname.lastname@example.org or 479-970-2356, or Natalie Milligan at email@example.com or 870-897-6110.
