On Wednesday, August 15, Administrative Assistant for Student Life Jennifer Hidy Pitts received the Outstanding Employee Award at Lyon’s All Campus Awards Luncheon.
“This year’s winner consistently goes above and beyond,” announced Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students Dr. Patrick Mulick. “The winner’s love for our community, our students, and social issues has led to her spearheading many of the most impactful programs we have on campus, such as the Free Store, Ditch the Dumpster, and a food recovery program from our dining hall. She has also been a bulldog on the issue of recycling on our campus.”
Mulick shared that along with her dedication to the campus community, Pitts will also graduate as a member of the Lyon College class of 2019 with a degree in psychology. Pitts started working at Lyon in the fall of 2005. She works in the Offices of Counseling and the Health and Wellness Center.
