On April 11-12, Lyon College will host a workshop with Elaine Pasqua, a renowned speaker on the topics of sexual health and awareness of sexual assault and other high-risk behaviors. She will be giving lectures and resources to students and key staff members involved with residence life in the Lyon community. Lyon College Athletics, Human Resources, and Student Life are collaborating to bring her to campus, and she plans to meet with the Greek organizations, Campus Safety officers, Residence Life staff, Student Life staff, athletic coaching staff, and the student body at large. She will also host a question-and-answer session open to any member of the Lyon faculty and staff.
Pasqua’s visit coincides with April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This issue has grown on college campuses, and workshops like Pasqua’s make an effort to educate members of higher education communities on the prevention of sexual assault.
Lyon is more than just a college. It's a community distinguished by its academic curriculum, unique honor and social systems, and award-winning professors.
