Wijetunge wins 2022 Williamson Prize

Associate Professor of Mathematics Dr. Tharanga Wijetunge won the 2022 Lamar Williamson Prize for Excellence in Teaching. The Williamson Prize is awarded annually to a Lyon faculty member whose accomplishments as a teacher and a scholar, personal character and service to church and community make him or her deserving of such an honor. Lyon alumni fund scholarship in honor of Gray’s 100th birthday

Lyon College alumni gave Dr. Dorothy Landis Gray, professor emerita of music, a special gift for her 100th birthday on April 23. Over 70 alumni and friends contributed funding to permanently endow the Dr. Dorothy Landis Gray Endowed Music Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a music student recommended by full-time music faculty. Bork to present Williamson Prize Lecture on March 8
