Dr. Michael Oriatti joined the Lyon College faculty in January 2013.  He is the former artistic director of The Edgewater Singers in Chicago and The Hinsdale Chorale in suburban Hinsdale. Oriatti directs The Batesville Choral Society, an adult community choir, and is a co-founder of the Weston Studio of Music's Highlander Youth Singers and Wee Highlanders, serving Batesville and outlying communities. 

At Lyon, Oriatti directs the Concert Chorale and vocal program including private voice instruction. 

 

He teaches The Language of Music, Musicianship (aural theory courses), and music topics courses, including Film Music and World Music.  A tenor, Oriatti remains active as a soloist and adjudicator in the region.
