Lyon College is committed to building a community of the best and brightest minds from around the world. International students not only contribute to Lyon's diversity, but also add an essential global perspective to campus life. Lyon welcomes talented, creative minds to join a community dedicated to celebrating cultural diversity and fostering international collaboration.
Regardless of citizenship or geographic location, all applicants should follow the same first-year or transfer application process that other students follow.
The only additional requirement for international student applicants is that they must demonstrate English proficiency. In order to determine English proficiency, Lyon requires all international students provide official TOEFL or IELTS scores with their application. For CONAHEC, Akita, ISEP, and Irish-American Scholar (tuition exchange) students, Lyon will accept certification of these scores by your home university or your exchange program in lieu of official scores.
Note: All international transfer students must fill out and submit the SEVIS FORM I-20 Transfer to Lyon College document within 60 days of finishing at their current institution. Failure to submit this form within that timeframe will result in the inability to reside in the U.S.
Lyon is more than just a college. It's a community distinguished by its academic curriculum, unique honor and social systems, and award-winning professors.
