A full-time licensed associate counselor and Art Therapist provides services in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment at not cost to the students. The counseling center is located on the first floor of Edwards Commons in the Health and Wellness Center. 

The Lyon College Counseling Center seeks to support the College’s mission and vision by working with students in counseling to help them discover and strengthen the sense of who they are and what impedes them in their personal and academic lives.

Appointments are typically scheduled for 50 minutes and take place Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm. 

If you are suffering from mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, please contact Victoria Hutcheson to make an appointment!

Beverly Caraway, APRN, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with White River Behavioral Clinic. Beverly prescribed and manages clients’ psychiatric medication. Beverly comes to campus the last Friday of each month and is available to see students, faculty and staff for medication management.  An email will be sent the week of Beverly’s visit with information on location and time. This is a billable service (Please call the clinic for insurance/payment verification).
