Applying for Academic Credit for Your Internship Experience
Many academic departments at Lyon offer students the opportunity to earn academic credit for internship experience. All academic credit is approved through a process involving the academic department for which the student wishes to earn credit, the Provost, and the Registrar. To apply for academic credit for internship experience, students MUST work with their academic advisor(s).
To begin the process, the student must make an appointment with their academic advisor regarding academic credit for internship. Once the student has accepted an internship, the student and the advisor complete appropriate paperwork for submission to the academic department from which the student wishes to earn credit.
Failure to work with an academic advisor in this process can result in denial of the student's academic credit request. Visit the college catalog here to read about academic credit for internship within your major.
