A full-time licensed professional counselor provides services in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment at no cost to the student. Numerous books, pamphlets, and local community resources are available through referral by the counselor.

Lyon's housing and dining systems emphasize the tight-knight campus community.
Edwards Commons, Lyon's 44,000-square-foot campus center, is the community hub, housing a game room, a carido room, and the Patterson Dining Hall, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner options every day.
On-campus residential life is designed around small group living, with a live-in faculty member, student resident directors, and resident assistants supervising each residence. The live-in faculty member designs programs to integrate the academic and co-curricular aspects of campus life.
Students who are veterans, reside with their spouse, or are 21 years of age or older may reside off-campus if they given written notice to the director of campus life before the assignment of on-campus housing. Lyon-owned or non-college apartments and houses are available in the Batesville community.
Lyon's dining system provides a range of options and hours, as well as flexible meal plans for students living on- and off-campus. Students can eat in the Patterson Dining Hall, the Lyon Den, or the Salty Dog Coffee Shop. Meals include fresh fruits and salads, home-style entrées, freshly baked pizza and pasta, vegetarian options, Brenda's freshly baked desserts, and much more.
Batesville has an excellent restaurant scene, particularly downtown in the town's epicenter. Click here and treat yourself to a delicious local hotspot. Many local businesses offer Lyon League discounts.
Lyon College is the only pet-friendly college in Arkansas, meaning the College allows students to bring their furry friends to school.
With plenty of open space for dog-walking and many sunny windows for cat-napping, Lyon's campus can serve as a great home for your best friend.

It's a walk in the park! But before you move your pet's bed to your new room, there are a few guidelines you need to know:
Lyon College's policies on emotional support animals (ESA) function separately from its pet-friendly housing. A student approved for an emotional support animal may live in any residence without paying extra fees for their pet.
Nestled in the eastern foothills of the Ozark Mountains and near the beautiful White River, Lyon takes advantage of its incredible location with the Lyon Education and Adventure Program (LEAP), which provides students with access to outdoor activities in the surrounding area.
Activities on campus include a bouldering wall, disc golf course, ropes course, and bluff-side hiking and biking trails. Students can take avantage of hiking, biking, paddling, camping, caving, rock climbing, fishing, and hunting options in the surrounding area.
The Campus is equipped with a bouldering wall, disc golf course, two hiking and biking trails totaling approximately 5 miles, and a ropes course including both high and low elements.
LEAP also offers trips around the Batesville area and to a variety of national and international locations over extended holidays.
