ACT Prep Camp

Lyon College ACT Prep Camp Logo

Due to the Covid-19 crisis, the 2020 Outdoor & ACT Prep Camp has been canceled.

Thank you for your interest in our 10th annual Outdoor/ACT Prep Camp. This unique opportunity will give you offer specialized ACT instruction from Stephen Leake, President of College Prep Coach, Inc., and a taste of the Lyon Education and Adventure Program (LEAP). When you aren’t learning how to raise your ACT score, you'll be ziplining, bouldering, tackling the ropes course, or playing ultimate frisbee. Over the years, students, on average, raised their score by three points—some students even raised their scores by five, six, and seven points.

What to Bring

  • Bedding—you won’t be sleeping outside, but a sleeping bag and pillow will make for quick and easy bedding for residence hall bunk beds
  • Toiletries—toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, sunscreen, etc
  • Towel(s)—for shower and pool
  • Closed-toed athletic shoes—shoes you can do outdoor and sporting events in
  • A good, reusable water bottle—you'll be spending time in the heat
  • Changes of clothes—you’ll be in a cool auditorium part of the time and the hot outdoors part of the time, so bring cool, comfortable clothes along with a sweater or pullover
  • Swimsuit and spare shoes—unless you love wet jeans and wetter shoes, you’ll want spares for use at the H20 Smackdown
