Spanish Current Students and Alumni
“At first I decided to study Spanish because I thought it would be a practical minor, but after my first two semesters I realized that I really loved the language and decided to go for a major. Lyon's Spanish program has given me the opportunity to not only study the grammar and vocabulary but also the literature and culture which is such an important part of the language. I've also had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain for a semester thanks to Lyon's Nichols program and the help of the Lyon faculty. I believe this was the most beneficial part of the program. With what I learned in the classroom, I was able to explore an entirely new culture and to communicate with native speakers, gaining confidence in more ways than I could describe.” — Molly Young, ‘14
