Kresge Gallery

 

 

The Kresge Gallery was made possible by a gift from the Kresge Foundation, the Kresge Gallery is central to the Alphin Humanities Building. Connecting classrooms and studios, this large hall hosts a variety of exhibitions throughout the academic year, including traveling collections, professional artists and work by Lyon College students.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2013/2014 Kresge Gallery Schedule

August 18– September 19: “Show & Tell” a group exhibition - Show & Tell is a feminist art
collective made up of seven artists across Central and Eastern Arkansas. All of the women in the
collective are also educators at colleges and universities in the state. Each artist utilizes different
media and has a different approach to making work; Opening Reception: Thursday, September 11 @ 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

September 22 – October 31: Abstract ARt- This exhibition features a group of Arkansas artists
working in contemporary modes of painting, drawing, and printmaking exploring the theme of
abstraction; Opening Reception: Thursday, October 2 @ 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

November 3 – December 12: Kat Wilson - Layers; Opening Reception: Thursday, November 6 @ 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

January 12 – February 27: Located Place – A group exhibition curated by Dustyn Bork, featuring a
contemporary survey on demarcated spaces; Opening Reception: Thursday, January 29 @ 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

March 2 – March 27: Juried Student Exhibition; Opening Reception: Thursday, March 19 @ 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

March 30 – April 17: Senior Exhibition I; Opening Reception: Thursday, April 16 @ 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

April 20 – May 8: Senior Exhibition II; Opening Reception: Thursday, April 30 @ 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
