Lyon celebrates second annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration

Lyon College will celebrate its second annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration and Unity Circle at 4 p.m. Monday, January 16, in Couch Garden.

The celebration will recognize and honor King's life and legacy and demonstrate the College's commitment to peace, justice, diversity and unity. It will begin with brief notes from President Donald Weatherman and Provost Phillip Cavalier and a short prayer from Chaplain Maggie Alsup before concluding with a unity circle.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees will receive buttons and commemorative keepsake postcards.
