THE STRAND
Click, click, click
The clock ticks slowly
Too far yet the striking hour
My patience is drawn thin
As the fiber of the spiders fragile thread
Consider this paradox
That a line so fine
Withstands that awful weight
Yet, does not break
But indeed seems stronger for its responsibility
Circumstance demands
That I create new mythologies
To explain the condition
Still, I am not satisfied
