2002 Nichols Trip Itinerary
Due to seasonal closure of the ferry that connects Dawson City to the Top of the World Highway, we won't be able to make a driving loop into Alaska.  We will be doing a lot of car traveling--the Yukon consists of many large, uninhabited spaces.  Unless the weather is bad, we will be stopping frequently to take in the sights and visit roadside attractions.  Whenever possible, I've kept daily driving distances under 150 miles due to the variable road conditions.  We will be flying on American Airlines and Air Canada flights.  The old itinerary is available here.  

[After we arrived in the Yukon, our itinerary changed again.  We were unable to go to Eagle Plains so we spent an extra day in Dawson City.  We also decided to skip the stay in Carmacks on the return trip and spent another night in Whitehorse.  Flexibility was the key!]
