Young House aims to meet the challenges of life at a residential, liberal arts college by providing activities and experiences outside the classroom which complement the academic curriculum.  The programs sponsored by Young House incorporate all the academic disciplines , but are presented in a less formal setting than the traditional classroom.

The goal is to make studies meaningful outside of class, and an integral part of a student's life.

Programs include cultural activities, followed by dialogue and discussion, in an attempt to lead to a fuller understanding of the subject matter or meaning inherent to the presentation.
