McRae Hall, completed in 1993, is named for Thomas C. McRae,  who served as Governor of Arkansas from 1921-1925 and as chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1926-1929, and Carleton McRae '29. The hall was made possible by a gift from Robert A. Young III, chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1987 -2003, and Mary Carleton McRae Young.  McRae Hall is one of three residence halls that make up Young House, and currently houses upperclass men.

Smoking is prohibited in all residence halls.  Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am Sunday through Thursday and from 12am to 12pm on Friday and Saturday.  Guests may visit students in their rooms between the hours of 8-2am.  Overnight guests of the opposite gender are not allowed.  For more residence hall policies and procedures click on the Residence Life Policy link to the right.
