Hoke/McCain Hall, completed in 1993, is named after Charles & Floy Neely Hoke as well as Paul Moffatt McCain.  Mr. Hoke served on the board of trustees.

Paul Moffatt McCain, served as President of the College from 1952-1969, the longest tenure of any of the college's Presidents.  Dr. McCain was known as the "builder" and envisioned the campus as it exists today. He firmly established Lyon as a modern institution of higher education. During his tenure, 11 buildings were constructed on the third (and present day) campus.  He also led the college to its first accreditation through the North-Central Association of Colleges and Schools.  The building was made possible by a gift from the Nicholas family.

Hoke/McCain Hall is one of three residence halls that make up Young House and currently houses both men and women.

Smoking is prohibited in all residence halls.  Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am Sunday through Thursday and from 12am to 12pm on Friday and Saturday.  Guests may visit students in their rooms between the hours of 8-2am.  Overnight guests of the opposite gender are not allowed.  For more residence hall policies and procedures click on the Residence Life Policy link to the right.
