Lyon College’s 29th Arkansas Scottish Festival will open with the Fourth
Annual Kilted Invitational Golf Tournament, on Friday, April 18th
at The Course at Eagle Mountain.
This colorful four-person scramble will begin with a bagpipe
start at 1:30 p.m.
All tournament proceeds will go to support the Scottish
Festival, the Lyon College Scottish Heritage Department, and the Pipers
& Scots golf teams.
The tournament will offer prizes for the first, second, and third
place teams in each flight.
The number of flights will be determined by the number of team
entries.
Also, prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest putt,
and closest to the line driving contest.
Plus, we’ll have hole-in-one prizes for all the par-3 holes.
Sponsorships will be $600, which include carts, greens fees, tee box
recognition in advertising, and, of course, lunch.
Speaking of which, lunch will feature authentic Scottish
cuisine (i.e. meat pies such as Shepherd’s pie).
Individual teams not associated with sponsorships may register
to play in the tournament.
Registration is $500 per team.
Individuals may also participate and will be placed on a team
at a fee of $125 per person.
That also covers carts, greens fees, and lunch.
We will again offer a move up option (Drop And Give Me $20) and “Pay
the Piper,” introduced last year, will be returning (pay the piper to
pipe while other teams are putting).
One more thing, wearing anything tartan will get you a free
mulligan (two maximum per player); wearing a
kilt will get you
two!
To become a sponsor or to register a team,
simply print and complete the
registration form
and return it to Brandi Allen.
For additional information, please contact Brandi at

Yours aye,
John Vinson
Kilted Tourney Chair
P.S. If
you would like for one of our college golf team members (or coach) to be
part of your sponsored team, please let me know---first come, first
served. |
