APRIL

Things are well on their way for the Arkansas Scottish Festival Highland Dance Competition, thank goodness! Looks like we may have some small numbers this year, but that's OK since some of the best games I've ever been to (in terms of dancing) have been small ones! :)

Costumes are in the process of being made for the choreography dances for our Awards/Recital night which is approaching quickly. Had an interesting adventure dealing with that the other day...went to the seamstress's place in my "Scot-mobile"

and ended up getting stuck in her yard due to the lack of gas in my car! On top of that...she wasn't home...so I was just sitting in this lady's driveway while she wasn't present having almost hit her business sign. However, 2 angels (one of whom evidently worked at Cingular) helped me out, it was just kind of an embarrassing event as I was on Bethesda Lane (boondocks) and had no one to help me out. Thank goodness I made it out alive! Will be making the return trip there today to drop off the fabric.

For the Dancers,

This next week will prove to be utter chaos as things are falling in place for the ASF. We are very lucky to have Mrs. Gladys McDonald judging our competition this year. She judges, to my knowledge, the worlds in Cowal every other year! We're movin' on up here in Arkansas! So far so good. Only 5 more days until the big competition!

Here is a pic of me performing the Irish Jig (aka The Angry Irish Washer Woman) at Big Show Friday the 21st. Be looking for ASF competition pictures soon!
