This year's Mini Camp was a hit! Two sessions were held and much was accomplished.

In session #1, with the little girls, we covered: Basic terminology and Highland positions, Reviewed the Fling, Worked on the Sword, Turnout...we also learned a warm-up routine which will be done at the beginning of every class along with stretching and we also started their choreography for this year's recital. Somehow we even found time to fit in a game of Freeze Dance and to hear the story of Greyfriar's Bobby.

In session #2, the older dancers, we: went through a vigorous warm-up, worked diligently on the Highland Reel, and began our choreography, which will be a great challenge for many of our dancers as it contains many Hornpipe steps.

Aside from our practice, we all got to catch up and I was able to tell many stories about my trip to Scotland. Needless to say, we all had a blast and are rearing to get started on our weekly lessons.
