Campus Notification Guide

In the event of an emergency, and after contacting appropriate emergency services and (if necessary) the Maintenance Office (ext. 4255), contact the first person whom you can reach on whichever of the following calling chains is appropriate to the crisis:

1.  If the crisis involves a student:

   Primary:  Dr. F. Bruce Johnston, Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students.  Work:  307-7314         Home:  698-1916.

   First backup:  Barbara Dyer, Housing Director.  Work:  307-7375   Home:  698-0693.

   Second backup:  R.D. of the student's residence hall.

2.  If the crisis involves an employee, contact:

   Primary:  Mr. Ken Rueter, Vice President of Business and Finance.  Work 307-7326

   Backup:  Ms. Clarinda Foote, Director of Personnel.  Work:  307-7327

3.  If the crisis involves a visitor, contact:

   Primary:  Mr. Ken Rueter, Vice President for Business and Finance.  Work:  307-7326

   Backup:  Ms. Kay Rush, Facilities Use Coordinator.  Work:  307-7325 

4.  If the crisis involves serious damage to College Property, contact:

   Primary:  Mr. Ken Rueter, Vice President for Business and Finance.  Work:  307-7326

   First backup:   Mr. Steve McDaniel, Director of Physical Plant.  Work: 307-7540    Home:  698-4957

   Second backup:   Mr.  Wallace Hightower, Director of Campus Safety.  Work 307-7233  Home 251-3811.

The individuals whom you contact will make the determination whether the crisis is requires the notification of the president.
