Office of Student Activities Mission Statement

The Office of Student Activities seeks to unite all aspects of campus activities, from purely social entertainment to educational events, fostering cooperation among the Student Activities Council (SAC), campus organizations, and other campus departments to develop a wide range of opportunities for campus involvement. Serving as a resource to advisors and members of student organizations, the student activities office strives to assist organization advisors and members to discover ways to serve a broader range of students and learn successful measures for event creation, implementation, publicity, and improved attendance for events. Through its cooperation with campus departments and organizations, the office of student activities seeks to create a vibrant and inclusive campus community.

Student Activities Council Mission Statement

The Student Activities Council (SAC) of Lyon College is an organization providing stimulating activities and diverse entertainment for students, staff, faculty, and the surrounding community. SAC offers its members the opportunity to learn skills transferable to life while supplying students the possibility to socialize with people sharing mutual interests. Through programs such as trips, novelties, traditions, music, and special events, SAC provides a sense of campus involvement and unity as well as an enrichment of the liberal arts education.
