The above is a photocopy, provided by Mr. Broad, of the message from General Montgomery read to all British soldiers about to take part in the Normandy invasion.
Mr. Broad participated in the D-Day invasion as a part of the over 250 glider fleet carrying the Royal Ulster Rifles, the remainder of the Oxf & Bucks, and support troops from the remainder of 6th Airlanding Brigade. According to Mr. Broad their landing occurred at 2100 on 6 June, just before nightfall.
