This is a basic kit to get you started in the hobby.

If you have an original British Paratrooper helmet, please put it on display and convert a dispatch riders helmet, or get a Dutch para helmet for use in the field. P-49 trousers are acceptable and are easily converted to P-40's. Any capped toed boots, such as Cochrans or Double H jump boots, are acceptable.

Other nice things to have

*P-40 BD jacket *Collarless undershirt *Toggle rope *1944 pattern gas mask bag *Entrenching tool w/carrier *Rain cape or ground cloth *Mess kit *Toilet roll/shaving kit *Brown enameled mug *Fairbain dagger *Small pack *Large pack *Bergan rucksack

The list is almost endless. You'll pick up more items as you go along.

Weapons are fairly easy. All you really need is the No. 4, Mk.1 Enfield. Other weapons acceptable are the Sten smg and the Bren machine gun. Backup weapons such as the Enfield or Webley .38 S&W pistol, Browning Hi Power 9mm automatic or the Colt .32 automatic are acceptable but mainly are used by officer, NCO's and crew served weapon team members. Or be really nice and bring a Vickers machine gun or PIAT. Just make sure that if you have an automatic weapon, your paperwork is in order

If you start this hobby fully kitted out, you probably have too much money. Don't worry if your outfit is not perfect. None of us were when we started . Just improve as you go along.
