The Religion and Philosophy Major at Lyon College
What does it mean to be human? What sort of society is just? How do
we
justify our values? Because they deal with such fundamental questions
as
these, the fields of religion and philosophy have always been central to
liberal
education. The Religion and Philosophy major at Lyon College
involves
students in the rich tradition of philosophical and theological
thought.
Because it combines rigor and clarity of thought and expression
with
concern for all aspects of the human condition, the study of religion and
philosophy also provides a strong foundation for a range of professions.
