Executive Director of Admission - Lyon College seeks an executive director of admission.  The executive director reports to the president of the College and is responsible for leading and managing the admission team in accordance with the mission of the College to achieve the goals of the College’s strategic plan.  S/he will manage and evaluate freshman and transfer recruitment and admission programs including communications and promotion as well as articulation agreements. 

 Lyon College is a USN&WR “top tier” national liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).  It is located in the foothills of the Ozarks in Batesville, Arkansas, a safe and convenient town of 10,000 that serves as commercial, medical, social, and governmental hub for an eight-county area.  The College enrolls approximately 500 students from twenty-two states and fifteen foreign countries on its picturesque 136-acre campus.  Entering freshmen have an average HSGPA of 3.7 and an average ACT of 25. 

Candidates should have five to seven years of  admission/marketing experience in higher education including supervisory/management responsibilities  They should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of current practices in college admission; possess strong interpersonal and communication skills; have a thorough knowledge of information technology applications that support an admission program; have knowledge of direct mail marketing, web-based marketing, publications, and telemarketing in a college admission environment;  be able to work effectively with diverse constituencies; be familiar with financial aid practices and policies in private colleges, and have an understanding of the liberal arts.  A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

 Enrollment Services Representative  - Lyon College seeks qualified applicants for its enrollment services recruiting staff.  Reporting to the Director of Admissions Operations, Enrollment Services Representatives manage an assigned recruiting territory, represent the College at high schools and college planning programs, counsel and communicate with prospective students and parents at all stages of the recruitment process, and develop and maintain liaison with guidance counselors, churches, and alumni within assigned territory.  Extensive travel required, particularly in the fall semester, as well as some weekend and evening duties.  A bachelor’s degree and commitment to the values of a liberal arts education are required.  Prior experience in college recruiting is preferred.
