Biography
Kirk Kelley,
originally from Sarasota, Fla., enters his 16th year as the head coach for the Scots.
His teams have amassed 467 wins since the program
began in 1993. He
received his masters degree from Northwest Missouri State and his undergraduate
degree from St. Mary of the Plains College.
Kelley played
collegiate baseball at the University of Oklahoma and St. Mary of the Plains
College in Kansas.
His previous
experience includes coaching at the University of
Memphis, Northwest Missouri State and Allen County Community College. As well as
coaching summer baseball in Topeka, Kan., Oklahoma City, Elkhart, Kan., and
Batesville.
He has served as a scout for the Baltimore Orioles and is
currently scouting for the San Diego Padres. Kelley also serves as the
school's current Interim Athletic Director.
He is married to Marcia and they have seven children:
Kristen, Katherine, Kraig, Kendra, Kourtney, Kade and Kyle.
