Lyon Tennis Pipers and Scots named to ITA All-Academic Team
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All eligible student-athletes whose names appear on the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA eligibility form and have competed in one or more varsity matches must average into the GPA for the current academic year.
In order to earn ITA scholar-athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1) be a varsity letter winner, 2) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and 3) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters.
Lyon was only one of 23 NAIA women’s teams to be named to the ITA All-Academic Team. Berry College was the only other Transouth Athletic Conference school that was named to the team. This is the Pipers second consecutive year to be named ITA All-Academic team. The following Pipers were named ITA Scholar-Athletes:

The Lyon men were one of only 12 NAIA men’s teams and the only Transouth Athletic Conference team to be named as an ITA All-Academic Team. This is the Scots fourth consecutive year to be named an ITA All-Academic team. The following Scots were named ITA Scholar-Athletes:
