Lyon College offers a wide range of varsity and intramural athletic opportunities for its students. Lyon is a member of the National Association of Intercolligiate Athletics (NAIA) and competes in the National TranSouth Athletic Conference.
      The TranSouth is one of the nation's premiere NAIA conferences with 7 schools across the South. In addition to Lyon, members include Union University in Jackson, Tennessee; Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee; Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee; Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee; Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee; and Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. 

Lyon offers scholarship opportunities in men's and women's basketball, baseball, volleyball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's soccer and has recently added women's soccer. Lyon also has a variety of intramural opportunities in individual and team sports.
