Meals

Meals are buffet-style, all you can eat, and served in the Edwards Commons Dining Center. The meals have probably been the most highly praised of the things at camps other than basketball. We feel you must eat well before you can play well.

Health

The best medical clinics and hospitals are available for emergency use in Batesville. A trainer will be attending most of the camp activities during the week.

Staff

The Lyon College basketball camps will be under the direction of both the men’s and women’s basketball staffs. Assisting in the 2006 camps will be some of the state’s top high school coaches. Women’s Head Coach, Tracy Stewart-Lange, will direct the Jr.-Sr. Girls camp. Men’s Head Coach, Kevin Jenkins, will direct the Jr.-Sr. Boys camp

Kevin Jenkins - Head Men's Basketball Coach  Tracy Stewart-Lange - Head Women's Basketball Coach

Instruction

Fundamentals of shooting, ball handling, rebounding, and individual offense and defensive skills will be taught. Instruction will be given on an individual basis. A full schedule of lectures, demonstrations, and practice sessions has been planned for each day. Each night, campers will get game-type experience.

Recreation – Housing – Meals

Becknell Physical Education Building houses two full basketball courts, two auxiliary gyms for recreation and an indoor swimming pool. The College Union offers billiards, other games, and a snack bar. Resident Campers will live in fully air-conditioned dormitories. Only the first 75 applicants may live on campus. The Lyon College Dining Hall serves meals for the camp.
