8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

General Information

 

All Students enrolled will learn:

  • Proper footwork and positioning for all shot

  • Basic strokes, including the serve and ground strokes

  • Advanced players will be instructed at volleys and passing shots

  • Sportsmanship

  • Strategies for both singles and doubles

  • The rules of the game

  • How to take care of yourself on the court

  • Hand to eye coordination

  • Temper control

 

Health

The best medical clinics and hospitals are available for emergency use in Batesville. A trainer will be attending part of the camp activities during the week.

Staff

The Lyon College tennis camps will be under the direction of John Bennett, head men’s and women’s varsity coach. All instructors will be USTA ranked and/or a member of the Lyon College Tennis Team.
