The Way You Were. The Way You Are. Come back to Lyon to share your life journey with classmates, friends, professors, staff, and current students! Planning has been underway for the last eight months, promising the best Homecoming yet. Listed below is just a sampling of the events which have been planned with YOU in mind.


FRIDAY – October 17

7 p.m. Meet at Josie’s at the Lock House $

(Batesville’s hottest night spot on the White River). Be entertained by Comedian Mary Mack (marymackcomedy.com) and then spend time remembering, reminiscing and reflecting with classmates, students, and your professors.

SATURDAY – October 18

11 a.m. HOMECOMING CONVOCATION IN COUCH GARDEN

Celebrate the 136th anniversary of the founding of Lyon with a convocation touting the accomplishments of the Patterson Decade Award recipients, Jane Ellen Frazier ’98 and Christopher Beller ’98; the awarding of the Distinguished Alumnus Award to Albert Parnell ’65; and the presentation of the President’s Cup to the Greek organization who demonstrated the greatest achievement in academics, service to others, athletics, the arts, and campus life.

12:30 All Campus Luncheon under the Tent $

Special class reunion tables will be set aside for alumni wishing to converse over grilled chicken with all the fixin’s. Mingle with students, parents, profs, and other special friends.

AFTERNOON EVENTS (times to be announced)


5 p.m.
Special Reception at the President’s Residence $

Enjoy casual conversation during a cocktail reception at Bradley Manor, the President’s Residence.

6 p.m. Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony $

The Way We Were….Athletics! We’ll honor the newest members of the Class of ’08 inductees over dinner at The Edwards Commons.

7:30 pm Doghouse! (Doghouserocks.com)

Dance under the stars or just sing a long with one of Arkansas’ best bands. Enjoy yourselves, bring a blanket, and let loose to the music.

SUNDAY – October 19

10:30 am Kirkin of the Tartan

Worship with members of the First Presbyterian Church of Batesville as we remember our Scottish heritage through this very special service.

12 noon CLUB 50

Graduates of the Class of 1958 and prior are invited to gather in Edwards Commons to remember, reminisce, and reflect upon their days at old AC/LC.
