| Lyon College’s
third annual Juried Student Art Exhibition
opening reception and awards presentation was held Thursday, Jan.
12, at Kresge Gallery. First-place winner was “Bill,” (right) charcoal on
linoleum, by Eric Bork.
Second-place winner was “Christina” by Elizabeth White; third-place
went to “Shakespeare in the Park” by Jance Floyd. The special
Presidential Purchase Award was presented to Chris Watkins for
“Toast,” (shown above) which consisted of 1,134 slices of toast
mounted on wood. Honorable mentions went to “Thinspirarion” by
Christina Cody; “Untitled” by Eric Bork; and “Unhappy Meals”
by Jennifer Cross. David Lusk of Memphis was the juror. The art work
will be on display in Kresge Gallery until Jan. 27.
