FirstClass is the campus E-mail, Conferencing, and Calender system at Lyon College. The following information is intended to help familiarize new users with the basic functions and operations of the application. You will be given examples of how to log in, recognize the contents of the User Desktop, access you personal Mailbox and read or send e-mail, make Address Book entries, use the Directory, make Calendar entries, access the Conferences, and use the Personal Chat feature. Remember that the Information Age is upon us. Many of the features you will find in this system are things that you will use as commonly as the telephone throughout the rest of your college life, in grad school, and right on into the job market. Things you learn about using FirstClass might also turn up in other applications down the road. Be prepared. There's a review, and four exercises at the bottom of
the page. |
